Imagine Having ZERO Doubt

Imagine how much more you could accomplish… and how much more enjoyable it would be… if you had ZERO doubt... and unshakeable confidence.

Not ego. Not holier-than-thou. Not cocky.

Just a grounded, unshakeable confidence where you feel totally grounded with agency that drives your decision-making, your actions, and your results.

If you summon an elevated sense of confidence in your chest right now… what do you notice? An inner strength? A lighter, easier feeling?

And what starts to fade? Some tightness… some doubt… some heaviness… uncertainty?

There are two factors, above all others, that my clients come to me for: clarity and confidence.

Sure, the initial coaching ask might sound like this:

  • I don’t want to be feeling stuck in my business any longer

  • I want more time back with my kids and spouse

  • I’m avoiding some important conversations with important people… and it’s killing progress

  • I’m constantly busy… but I’m not sure I’m working on the right things anymore

  • I want to grow our revenues and pay myself what I’m really worth

  • I want to take real time off… a REAL vacation… without being on call or tied to my phone

  • It feels like everything depends on me… and I don’t know how to step away without things falling apart

  • My team isn’t performing at the level I need… and I don’t know how to elevate them without creating tension or losing someone important

  • I’ve lost a bit of the fire… I’m not as motivated or clear as I used to be

And yet… at the heart of these… is a lack of clarity or confidence.

I used to believe that building confidence was about understanding self-doubt… then applying courage, grit, and resilience… and voilà… breakthrough.

And yes… that can totally work.

But sometimes… the bigger breakthroughs didn’t come.

That’s when the deeper block… beneath even courage… starts to show up.

Let me ask you this…What is the opposite of self-doubt?

95% of people say “confidence.”

But it’s not.

Confidence is often the result… the byproduct… that shows up after we do the hard, meaningful thing.

Courage helps. It absolutely moves the needle. But it’s not a bottomless well either.

The deepest, most direct quality that helps you move through fear, uncertainty, and doubt is…

Self-trust.

Try it on for a moment…Dial up a sense of self-trust right now.  Own the feeling of fully trusting yourself with decisions. No resistance or drag.

What do you notice?

A loosening in the chest…A sense of grounding…A quiet kind of power…Fuel to take action on something that matters.

Self-trust is built on four key ingredients… all of which can be strengthened:

Acceptance

I accept myself… my strengths and my flaws…the situations in front of me… and I am enough to take action on this.

Agency

I have what it takes to figure this out.

Autonomy

I choose my actions, and my actions influence the outcome… I don’t need permission or validation from someone else before I move this forward.

Emotional Adaptability

I trust myself to handle & process whatever emotions or overwhelm shows up… even when things get hard.

Now contrast that with the messages most of us hear from our inner critic:

  • I’m just not good enough… smart… successful… or likeable enough.

  • Maybe I don’t have what it takes.

  • I’m working hard… but not getting anywhere.  What I know how to do isn’t working.

  • It feels like two steps forward, one step back.

  • I’m busy all the time… but not making real progress.

  • I don’t see results matching the effort I’m putting in.

  • I’m overwhelmed… and stuck in overthinking.

And what makes these messages so powerful… and so dangerous… is that it sounds like us.

They are in our own voice.

Which makes them easy to believe… as truth.

If you’re feeling stuck… and some of these patterns are on repeat…

You don’t have to figure it out alone.   It’s heavy to carry that burden alone…and not necessary.

Let’s figure this out. Book a free session with me here: https://calendly.com/businesscoachchris
