There is no progress without decision-making. One of Jim Rohn's classic quotes.
Would you like to be moving ahead faster? More confidently? Covering more ground in less time?
One great way to do that is to move ahead faster on key decisions. Mel Robbins says that big decisions can actually be made in seconds - that we often already have enough info to move forward...It's just that we tend to get stuck by putting too much pressure on a single decision, and waiting to have the 'perfect' decision before we move forward. It SLOWS us down big time.
To increase your speed of progress, try these steps for your next (current) BIG decision:
Write the problem/decision to be made down! Get it out of your head (where things go round and round in circles) and out on to paper where objectively seeing it makes more objective decision making easier! Write out the top solutions too. Sometimes this is all that is needed.
Be clear on exactly what you want from this decision. Write that down too.
Dig 7 layers deep about WHY this decision being made is important to you. When you ask yourself 'why is this important to me' - the first answer is superficial, and yet necessary. Whatever that 1st answer is, ask why THAT is important to you (level 2). And repeat for 7 levels until you have a deeply meaningful WHY. It's fuel!!
Be clear also on what values are important to you in this decision. What are your top (core) values? Values-based decisions NEVER lead to guilt and resentment later on. Run your potential decisions through your Values-filter and let your values guide you to the right outcome.
Faster, more confident decision making moves you ahead MUCH faster in the direction of your best self.
